| Apparently, being a nominee for Minnesota Teacher of the Year doesn’t mean that you have to be neat and organized. This is the second day that I have subbed for this Spanish teacher. I have n doubts that he is a good teacher but I do have doubts about the state of his house based on the state of his classroom. Now in his defense his classroom only contains one filing cabinet, a small bookshelf and his desk. However, the business-end of the room has about as many piles as my apartment did back in south Minneapolis… and that’s saying something. It was funny too, ‘cause he was still in the classroom when I arrived this morning and while he was making final arrangements for me and his classes, he said that he was finishing downloading something from I-tunes. The connection here at school, he said, was much faster than at his house. HA!
I wonder if he’s a bachelor.
I must say too that it comforts me that I will not be the teacher with the worst hand writing in the world. Well, maybe we can be co-worst in that category.

I am going to start counting phone books that are delivered to our house. I don't think we go more than a month without getting at least one new phone book delivered. It is ridiculous how many we've gotten. Today I went out to get the mail and saw a bag on the front step... with THREE new phone books in it. Huzzah! Now I'll be able to find a phone number. /sarcasm
So, starting the first of November 2007, Sarah and I are up to three new phone books. |
