No substituting today, so between cleaning up at home and running errands I threw a couple rounds of disc golf - I couldn't stay inside all day on a beautiful day like this.  I went up to Roseville to play Acorn, a pretty popular course in the area.  While it's not the hardest course in the area, it's up there.  I was on a tear today with nearly everything going right.  I shot a two under par.  Considering before I shot par only a day or two ago that my best score there was 4 over, I am darn happy with that score.  I even picked up a new disc that was just laying in the woods too.  Woo-hoo!

I'm looking forward to Saturday when a couple friends and I are going to go up to East Bethel to throw Blue Ribbon Pines, the premier course in Minnesota.  It's a great and devious course.  Should be fun.

Time to make dinner now.  I'm a-hungry.

There are two Halloween parties that I have been invited to tonight, one from LJ and one from a former camp person.  I thought about going, but since Sarah's folks were here all last week having a quiet evening in sounds pretty nice.  Not that we've even been doing the same thing for most of the day, but just being in the same place is all I need right now.

After throwing disc golf at Acorn this afternoon I came home to Sarah making some pretty good carrot cake.  Then I got started brewing my first batch of beer in over a year (cherry stout).  Now she's reading her new book and watching the World Series.  I'll find something to do I suppose, maybe just laze a bit.

I suppose I could write more, butt lazing seems a little more attractive at the moment.

I'm waiting for box 7 of the Minnesota Commission for Public Safety files to come up from the bowels of the history center.  While waiting, I made a new icon and it makes me happy.

Went and threw 54 holes of disc golf with Chris and one of his friends yesterday.  That was one hell of a course, very hard but very good.  The first round I threw a 93, only 8 over par.  They've put a lot of work into that course and it will be great to see it completely finished.  Also found three or four new discs while swimming for a couple lost discs while we played.  Woo-woo.

Had a real nice evening with Sarah last night.

Going to go see Yonder Mountain String Band tonight.  Pretty excited about that.  Hope it stays dry since it is an outdoor show.

Oops, here's my box.  time to look for files about the August 15 Minnesota County Sheriffs' Convention, where the Commission told the Sheriffs to prevent meetings by the Nonpartisan League (radical farmers' organization) if they might cause disorder.  Yay for trampling upon the 1st amendment!
